| Bishop Dr. Steve Kabachia and Rev Mrs Jennifer Kabachia JHM Founders |
Jesus Harvesters International (JHM) Ministries is the culmination of years of work for Bishop Steve Kabachia and his wife Jennifer. This ministry has evolved out of a love of people and a desire to serve God in any way he deems worthy. Steve and Jennifer began this ministry in the early 1980's working with the homeless and street people of Nairobi, Kenya and other street city ministries, and has evolved into an international ministry of hope to impoverished native peoples in East Africa.
In the fall of 1981, Bishop Kabachia formed (JHM) in Garissa, North Kenya, and in 1987 incorporated as an Alabama non-profit organization to provide aid and comfort to the poor and unwanted, the street people, drug addicts and the gang youth at home and abroad and to combat the horrendous conditions faced by street children in Kenya and South Africa.
A board of directors was formed. Serving with Bishop Kabachia, Founder, were: Mr. Tim King, Rev. Michael B. French, Billy K. Graham III, Mr. Ron Kim, Mr. Thomas L. Morrison, CPA, Mr. Skip Nesbitt, Mr. Larry Wren and Mr. Bob Lindsey.
Bishop Kabachia studied and received his BA in Divinity from South Eastern Bible College in 1988. He continued his education and received a Masters of Education from the University of Montevallo in Birmingham, Alabama in 1989 and an MA in Missions from Birmingham Theological Seminary 1989. Dr. Kabachia obtained his Doctorate of Ministry Missions at Trinity International University in Chicago, II in 1992.
After his return to his homeland of Kenya, Dr. Kabachia began preaching and teaching to the local population about God and started Agape Fellowship Center, a ministry of helping and discipleship.
